Starting a New Club is quite easy.
A club can exist as:
This depends on your Range. You can either ask for dedicated Range time, where you take over the entire Range, or just meet informally and shoot with other Range Members. The details depend on your Range.
Check our website for current coaches. Generally our coaches are fully engaged, and might not have time for another club commitment. If this is the case, of if there is interest, you can train as a coach yourself, of one of your members can train.
Coach training can get quite involved at the National and International level, but for a new, local club, think about having someone do the
Community Stream" coaching program. It is an easy entry to coaching, and can be all your club needs initially. As your club and your members progress, your coaches have time to take more advanced Coaching courses: Instructor-Beginner to Competition-Development. See the Coach Training Page for more information.
These are available through the Shooting Federation of Canada (SFC - Shooting Federation of Canada). You will need targets and patches (White and Black).
This is easy. Click on "Join Us" and register as an Associate Club. Use your club initials as the "First Name" and the club full name as the "Last Name". The inexpensive yearly fee makes all of your members "Club Members" of BCTSA.
Also, consider joining the Western International Pistol League (WIPL.ca).
